Komweer doesn't connect to your card machine, so it sits next to Yoco without changing anything. Customers pay on your Yoco machine as usual and scan Komweer's code for a stamp, or staff scan the code on their card. Cash customers get stamps too.
Questions about Yoco Loyalty alternatives
Is there a loyalty app that works with any card machine?
Yes. Komweer doesn't connect to a card machine at all: the stamp comes from a QR code on a screen at your counter, or from staff scanning the code on the customer's card. It works with Yoco, any other card machine, cash or SnapScan.
Do I need Yoco Plus for a loyalty programme?
For Yoco Loyalty, yes: Yoco includes it in Yoco Plus, R249 a month per location (October 2026). Komweer has a free plan for up to 100 active customers and doesn't need any particular card machine.
Stamps or points: which is better for a small business?
For most small shops, stamps. "Buy 9, get the 10th free" is easy to explain at the till and customers can see how close they are. Points suit businesses with very different basket sizes, where rewarding by amount spent matters more.
Can I see my loyalty customers' details?
With Komweer, yes: names, contact details, visits, tags and notes for every customer who joined your card, downloadable as a spreadsheet. Yoco's Loyalty page describes totals in the Yoco app: points issued, points not yet redeemed and active customers.
