GAAP Rewards alternative
GAAP Rewards or Komweer: which loyalty programme fits your shop?
GAAP Rewards (Unity Rewards) is the loyalty add-on of GAAP's restaurant point-of-sale system: rewards are counted at the GAAP till. Komweer is a digital stamp card that works next to any POS, card machine or cash, with no app for customers. If you already run GAAP, its rewards are built into your till. If you don't, here's how they compare.
Last updated 20 Oct 2026, from GAAP's public Rewards pages. GAAP doesn't publish rewards pricing, so ask them for a quote. Spotted something out of date? Email [email protected].

When Komweer fits
- You don't use the GAAP POS, or you don't want your loyalty programme tied to your till.
- You want to start free and see a clear monthly price.
- You want stamps only for real visits: a code that can't be photographed and shared.
- You want a client list you own and can download.
When GAAP Rewards may fit better
- You already run the GAAP POS and want rewards counted automatically from each sale.
- You want spend-based rewards ("spend R1,000, get R50 back") today.
- You need online ordering and kiosks on the same rewards programme.
Questions about GAAP Rewards alternatives
Do I need the GAAP POS for a restaurant loyalty programme?
No. Komweer doesn't connect to any POS: the stamp comes from a QR code on a screen at your counter, or from staff scanning the code on the customer's card. It works with any till, card machine or cash.
How do I stop a loyalty card counting items like water?
With Komweer, use staff-scan mode: your staff scan the customer's card and add a stamp only for purchases that qualify. A daily limit stops one visit earning several stamps.
How much does GAAP Rewards cost?
GAAP doesn't publish its rewards pricing, so ask GAAP for a quote. Komweer is free for up to 100 active customers, then R199 a month including VAT.
Do customers need an app for Komweer?
No. They scan a QR code with their phone camera and the card opens in their browser. They confirm their email once; after that each visit is one scan.
Try Komweer free, with any till.
No POS change, no app for customers, no contract.
