What is Komweer?
Komweer is a digital loyalty card for South African small businesses. Customers scan a QR code at your counter to collect stamps on their phone, with no app to download. You set the reward, such as "buy 9, get the 10th free", and Komweer gives you a client list you own. It's free to start, with paid plans from R199 a month.

Customers scan to earn
A code on your counter screen changes every 25 seconds. Customers scan it with their phone camera. First-timers confirm their email address with a 6-digit code, just once.
Scan to redeem
When a card is full, the customer shows their reward code and you scan it with Komweer. The stamps come off and the card starts again.

What merchants ask us.
Do my customers need to download an app?
No. They scan your counter code with their phone camera and the stamp card opens in their browser. They can add it to their home screen if they like.
What do I need at my counter?
Any smartphone, tablet or laptop that can stay on to show the stamp code. Komweer runs in its web browser, so there's nothing to install. An old phone or tablet on a stand works well.
Do I have to install an app?
No. Everything works in a web browser, including the counter screen and scanning reward codes with the device camera. Apps for iPhone and Android are planned for later.
How do customers sign up?
With their first name, surname and email address. We email them a 6-digit code to confirm it, and that only happens once per phone.
How do I pay for Growth or Pro?
Growth opens on 1 Dec 2026 and Pro in January 2027. You pay by card through Paystack in the Komweer web app, monthly or yearly in Rand (two months free), and you can cancel online at any time. Until then, everyone is on the free plan.
Can staff or customers cheat the system?
Each code works once and changes every 25 seconds. You set daily limits and waiting times, and every stamp is logged with the time, device and staff member, so unusual activity stands out.
Who owns the customer data?
You do. You can export your client list at any time. Komweer never markets to your customers or shares their details with other businesses.
Is there a contract?
No. Pay monthly and cancel whenever you want. The free plan stays free.
