Komweer is free to start. Paid plans are R199 a month (Growth) and R399 a month (Pro), in Rand, with no contract and no card machine needed. Customers never pay anything and don't download an app.

Launch pricing in South African Rand. Komweer isn't VAT registered, so no VAT is added. Paid plans open after our pilot; until then every business is on the free plan, and early-access merchants keep their launch price.

- No app for customers. They scan a QR code with their phone camera and the card opens in their browser.
- Codes that can't be copied. The counter code changes every 25 seconds and works once.
- Verified customers. Each customer confirms their number once with WhatsApp, or their email with a code.
- Staff PINs. Every stamp and reward is logged with the staff member, device and time.
- Works offline for rewards. Rewards handed over without a connection are confirmed when you're back online.
- Your client list. Download it as a spreadsheet at any time.
- POPIA built in. Marketing opt-ins are separate and unticked, and customers can download or delete their data.
- Any till. Works with cash and any card machine, because the stamp is on the counter screen, not the card machine.

How much does a loyalty app cost in South Africa?
Komweer is free for up to 100 active customers, then R199 a month for Growth or R399 a month for Pro. Other South African loyalty apps we looked at list from about R249 to R349 a month (October 2026), so check what's included before you compare.
Is there a free loyalty card app for small businesses?
Yes. Komweer's free plan has no time limit: 1 stamp card, 1 branch, 1 counter device and up to 100 active customers, with no card details needed to sign up.
Do I need a contract or a specific card machine?
No contract, and no card machine at all. Komweer runs on any phone, tablet or laptop at your counter and works whether customers pay with cash, a card or anything else.
Is VAT included?
Komweer isn't registered for VAT, so the prices shown are what you pay.
What happens to my customers' stamps if I cancel?
If you move from a paid plan to Free, nothing is deleted. If you close your account, you have 90 days to download your client list, after which your data is deleted and unused stamps on your card lapse. Rewards customers have already unlocked must be honoured first.
When can I pay for Growth or Pro?
Paid plans open after our pilot. You'll pay by card on the Komweer website, monthly or yearly, and can upgrade, downgrade or cancel online. Early-access merchants keep their launch price.
