For butcheries

A digital loyalty card for butcheries

Keep the weekly braai shopping at your counter. Customers collect a stamp on their phone every visit and get something good when the card is full: boerewors, a braai pack or chops. They scan a QR code at the till, no app to download, and it works with cash. Free to start.

A card set up for a butchery

A good starting point. You can change any of it in a minute, and changes only apply to new cards.

  • 8 visits, a free 1 kg of boerewors. Reward text: "1 kg boerewors". A reward customers actually want on the braai.
  • 1 stamp a day. One visit, one stamp, whether they buy a few chops or a full braai pack.
  • 1 welcome stamp. New customers start at 1 of 8, so the reward feels close.
  • Reward valid for 90 days. The card shows the use-by date, and the customer gets an email a week before it expires.

Fits a butchery counter

  • A tablet or old phone by the till shows the stamp code. Customers scan it while you wrap their order. Wipe-clean and out of the way.
  • Gloves on? Switch to staff scan and the cashier scans the code on the customer's card instead.
  • Works with cash and any card machine, because the stamp doesn't come from the card machine.
  • Codes that can't be shared. The counter code changes every 25 seconds and works once.

What you get that paper can't give you

  • A client list with how often each customer comes in, plus tags such as "Friday braai" or "bulk orders".
  • See stamps given today and rewards redeemed this month.
  • No more greasy paper cards to print and stamp.

What it costs

  • Free for up to 100 active customers, with free staff PINs.
  • Growth R199 a month for unlimited customers, once paid plans open after the pilot.
  • No contract, no card machine, nothing for customers to pay or install.

Butchery loyalty questions

What's a good loyalty reward for a butchery?

Something for the braai that doesn't cost you much: 1 kg of boerewors, a pack of chops or a free spice rub after 8 visits. Pick one item and name it on the card so there's no debate at the till.

Can big orders earn more stamps?

Komweer counts visits: one stamp per scan, with a daily limit you choose. Most butcheries keep it at 1 a day so a big order can't fill the card at once.

Does it work with cash?

Yes. Komweer doesn't connect to the card machine, so it works with cash, card or any other way your customers pay.

Do customers need to download an app?

No. They scan the code with their phone camera and the card opens in their browser.
