For hair and beauty salons

A digital loyalty card for salons

Reward the clients who book with you every few weeks, not the ones who come once. They scan a QR code at reception and the stamp is on their phone, with no app to download. You see who your regulars are, when they last came in and who has gone quiet. Free to start.

A card set up for a salon

A good starting point. You can change any of it in a minute, and changes only apply to new cards.

  • 5 visits, the 6th treatment half price. Reward text: "50% off your next treatment". Works for cuts, colour, nails or brows alike.
  • 1 stamp a day. One stamp per visit, however many treatments.
  • No welcome stamp needed. Salon clients come back on their own schedule; the reward does the work.
  • Reward valid for 6 months. Long enough for clients who come every six to eight weeks, and the card shows the use-by date.

Fits your reception desk

  • A tablet on the reception desk shows the stamp code while the client pays. It changes every 25 seconds, so it can't be shared or scanned from home.
  • Prefer to keep the tablet behind the desk? Switch to staff scan: you scan the code on the client's card and tap "Add stamp".
  • Every stylist has their own PIN. Each stamp and reward is logged with who gave it.
  • Works alongside your booking system. Komweer doesn't replace it or connect to it; it only runs the loyalty card.

What you get that paper can't give you

  • A client list with visits, tags ("colour client", "bridal") and notes such as the usual stylist or cut. Notes aren't for medical or sensitive information.
  • See which regulars haven't been in for a while, and download the list any time.
  • No more stamp cards left in the car or a different handbag.

What it costs

  • Free for up to 100 active customers, with free staff PINs.
  • Growth R199 a month for unlimited customers, once paid plans open after the pilot.
  • No contract, no card machine, nothing for customers to pay or install.

Salon loyalty questions

What's a good loyalty reward for a hair salon?

Something worth coming back for that doesn't give away your most expensive service: 50% off the next treatment, a free blow-dry or a free treatment add-on after five visits all work well.

Should a salon reward visits or rand spent?

Visits are simpler to explain and fairer between a quick trim and a full colour. Komweer counts visits: one stamp per visit, with a daily limit so one appointment can't earn several stamps.

Can I keep notes on clients?

Yes: free-text notes and tags per client, such as their usual stylist or style. Komweer labels notes as not for medical or sensitive information, so please don't record allergies or health details there.

Do my clients need to download an app?

No. They scan the QR code with their phone camera and the card opens in their browser. They confirm their email once; after that each visit is one scan.
